Samarra isn’t the only one drowning in grief.

After surviving an overdose of the drug Dust, Zain should be recovering. Instead, he’s unravelling as his life becomes a maze of escalating threats. Mariana’s gang is closing in. Corrupt Shade officers are watching his every move. And the suffocating grip of addiction is urging him to escape it all.

Zain knows he needs to resist Dust’s seductive pull and focus on being alive. But recovery is brutal as withdrawal blurs hallucination with reality. The deeper he spirals, the harder it becomes to tell whether he’s healing or destroying himself all over again. 

Still, he’s trying to hold on to something worth fighting for. And this time, he refuses to let it go.
